Justin Kausal-Hayes

Vocals | Lead Guitar

Growing up in a musical family, Justin began playing guitar at age 9.   Early influences were Crosby Stills and Nash, Jimi Hendricks, then later Stevie Ray Vaughn and Pearl Jam. In his early 20s, Justin formed a band with some high school buddies. They called themselves “Author Unknown” and mostly played bluesy covers mixed with a few originals around the local Seattle scene. Years later, and after a few personnel changes the band changed their name to “Buckets of Rain,” and focused on original songs.   Justin can be seen all around the Seattle area on any given night playing solo or with any number of bands.

Known as a fierce rhythm player , but can also rip off a wicked solo just for fun if the song needs it, he joined the band in 2011 adding guitar, backup and lead vocals to the bands material.

Jon enjoys recording in his studio, Shabby Road and joined Author Unknown in 2001 (before the name change in 2006) making him the second longest tenured member of the group.
